The district police office of Rautahat has arrested two officers of the Land Reform office for taking bribes from a service seeker. Police have also arrested the landowner who assaulted the two officers saying that they failed to settle a case involving land even after paying them money in bribe. According to police Mahendra Mishra and Narendra Jha had taken rupees twenty-five thousand in bribe from the service seeker saying that they would settle a land ownership case involving the service seeker. The incident became public when the service seeker demanded back the money he had bribed them and assaulted the two officers after they refused to do so.
