Reportedly an incident of rape on a 15-year-old girl was been settled outside the court. A 75-year-old man who raped the 15-year-old girl settled the case with the victim's relatives by compensating the girl rupees two lakh and fifty thousand on condition that the case would not be made public and the victim would not seek legal actions against the perpetrator. The girl who used to live on rent in the perpetrator's house has conceived a baby boy because of the rape. The girl's family who is uneducated and illiterate came to know of the rape only after a long time and by then it was too late for an abortion.
