A 56-year-old woman of Shikharbesi VDC-2 has filed a complaint at District Police Office on March 1 accusing her neighbours of physical assault. She said that her three neighbours including Ramamaya Tamang, 24, beat her up and cut her hair with a sickle accusing her of being a witch when she had gone to fill water. Inspector Birendra Thapa said that the woman reported being abused on February 27. Police said that one of the accused, Rammaya has been arrested on March 1 following the registration of the victim’s complaint while the other two remain absconding.
