At a time when the activists are continuing nationwide agitations by demanding stern action against the rapists and strict laws, another case of rape has come to the fore in Jhapa district. A 13-year-old girl of Birtamod Municipality was raped last night, the police said. Police said that Surya Man Tamang, 40, who was earning daily wages from the construction works, raped the girl. Police Inspector Narayan Prasad Gautam said Tamang asked the girl to bring a cup of tea and raped her by taking on the rooftop. Police Inspector Gautam said Tamang has been arrested while the victim's health check-up was carried out in Mechi Zonal Hospital, Bhadrapur.gb
