A woman was hospitalized following excessive torture and sexual abuse by her husband at Jatahara of Rautahat on Friday. The 25-year-old woman of Jatahara was badly injured after her husband and father-in-law assaulted her private parts with a torchlight. According to sources, she had collapsed following the torture before being rescued by police. According to District Police Office, she was attacked by the duo after she filed a complaint against her husband Hasamuddhin, 30, and father-in-law Nasarullah Mansuri, 60, at the police officer. In her complaint, the victim had mentioned that she was tormented by the duo for the past five to six years. Following excessive torture and domestic violence, she had filed the complaint with the help of her kin on March 13. She was taken to National Medical College, Birgunj for treatment, said SP Sanu Babu Thapaliya. He said the duo had tried to kill her many times. Police nabbed the husband, but the father-in-law is said to be at large.
