Man accused of killing aunt remanded in prison

District Court has ordered to remand Dhirendra Yadav, 26, to District Prison on March 19 on the charge of killing his aunt Ambika Devi Yadav alias Kanchhi, 35, of Rajbiraj Municipality-10. The bench of District Judge Tej Narayan Poudel sent him to prison. A police constable posted at Metropolitan Traffic Police Office, Ramshahpath, Kathmandu, Dhirendra, was arrested in Kathmandu on March 18 and brought to Rajbiran on March 19. Ambika Devi, who sustained injuries in Dhirendra’s physical assault in the morning of December 18, 2014, died at 2.30 pm while undergoing treatment at the BPKIHS, Dharan. Postmortem of the body was conducted at the same hospital on December 19. Ambika’s husband, Kusheshwar Yadav, 38, filed an FIR against his uncle Satya Narayan Yadav, 60, his wife Suhagwati Yadav and their daughter Lalit. Satya Narayan is detained in prison since February 15 on remand while Suhagwati and Lalita were released on a bail amount of Rs 45,000 each March 20. Manohar Kumar Pokhrel
