Police arrested 48-year-old Gothe Sarki of Sirpa VDC-1 on March 20 on the charges of attempting to kill a 15-year-old girl. According to DSP Nabin Raj Rai, the accused tried to kill the girl by attacking her with khukuri while she was sleeping at a shed on the night of March 18. The victim underwent treatment at District Hospital Reugha. She received eight stitches below her cheek. DSP Rai said that the accused was charged with attempted murder.
