Police have arrested Anup Rana, 21, of Tikathali VDC-2, Lalitpur on the charge of inflicting injuries on a 22-year-old woman by throwing acid at her for rejecting his proposal three months ago. Rana was charged with attempt to murder the following arrest on March 24, Inspector Radha Prasad Parajuli of Metropolitan Police Range informed. The woman had suffered burns on the right cheek when acid was thrown at her at Mangal Bazaar on January 22, 2015. It is learnt that both the victims and perpetrator were studying at a college in Bal Kumari, Lalitpur.
