Two men accused of raping a 14-year-old girl have been remanded in custody by the order of district court on March 29. 29-year-old Barun Ram of Malhanma VDC-4 and Binod Das, 18, of Kushaha VDC-3 were sent to the Saptari Prison following an order by the District Court Judge Pushparaj Thapaliya, according to the court. Along with Ram and Das, 19-year-old Kishor Sardar of Malhanma VDC-4 and 21-year-old Arbind Shah, of ward no. 5 of same VDC are accused of raping the girl at a mango orchard near Pathaharawa in Malhanma VDC-4 in the night of February 26, 2015. Medical check-up of the victim was conducted at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan on March 3, 2015. Father of the victim had filed an FIR at the Area Police Office Kalyanpur on March 2, 2015, seeking action against the culprits. Police had arrested Barun and Binod the same day. A warrant has been issued by the court in the name of Kishor and Arbind who are absconding after the incident. Manohar Kumar Pokharel
