Police have arrested 35-year-old Bhim Magar of Mauwa VDC-5 on April 1 on the charge of raping a 13-year-old girl. Inspector Rabiraj Thapaliya of the District Police Office said that the accused was arrested from the village following an FIR filed by the victim's family on March 31. Medical check-up and treatment of the victim were conducted at District Hospital Panchthar on March 31. The hospital said that her medical condition is stable. The victim's family accused that Magar raped her while she was alone on March 29. Inspector Thapaliya said that investigation had begun into the incident by extending the remand of the accused. He said that the accused would be charged under rape.
