District Court has sentenced 32-year-old Phanindra Bahadur Karki of Prapcha VDC-5 to eight years in prison convicting him of raping a 10-year-old girl. District judge Subhashbabu Puri, on April 6, also ordered him to pay the Rs 100,000 as compensation. He was remanded in custody on January 13. A case of rape was filed against Karki, who was staying in a rented room in Siddhicharan Municipality, on December 27, 2014. The girl’s relatives expressed satisfaction regarding the court decision. S
