The government has decided to provide additional Rs 200,000 to the conflict victims’ families.
A cabinet meeting on March 27 made the decision according to which the family members of those killed or disappeared due to the conflict will get the money in two installments.
Mukunda Pokharel, the Relief, and Rehabilitation Unit of the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction informed that the money would be distributed once the MoPR gets the government letter of implementation of the decision.
Pokharel added that about 11 to 12,000 conflict victims’ families would get the relief.
MoPR’s section officer Narhari Ghimire informed that a letter had been written to Finance Ministry for allocation of the budget as per the cabinet decision.
