44-year-old Rukmali Dangi of Libang Municipality-6 filed a complaint against her neighbors at the District Police Office in Rolpa on April 9. Rukmali accused 38-year-old Bimal Dangi, 20-year-old Manoj Dangi, and 22-year-old Tek Bahadur Dangi of assaulting her on the pretext of witchcraft charges while she was sleeping at night on April 8. According to the victim, they beat her with sticks and fists accusing her of being a witch. The victim urged the police to provide her security. She received medical treatment at a local medical shop. DSP Ramesh Thapa of the DPO Rolpa said that the accused were summoned.
