Police on Friday arrested a man on the charges of murdering his wife. The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Ham Bahadur BK of Kokhetar, Arkhala-9 of the district. According to a preliminary investigation, BK allegedly killed his 21-year-old wife Rita BK by slitting her throat while they went to a well in the jungle near their village to take a bath yesterday afternoon. The police came to know about the incident only on Thursday night. Following the information, a joint police team deployed from the Kawasoti and Baglungtar detained BK from Hurhuredanda of Devchuli of the district this morning, SP Nal Prasad Upadhyay of the District Police Office, Nawalparasi informed. Police nabbed him while he was heading towards India via Madhesh to evade the arrest. Police said that they are looking into the case.
