Two police personnel posted at the Panauti Police Beat in Kavre have been suspended on the charge of raping two teenage girls. It has been disclosed that the pair allegedly raped the girls aged 15 and 17 on April 8 near the police beat. The girls who were under the protection of Shanti Griha, a child protection home, came out from the home in a bid to flee from there, Superintendent of Police Pooja Singh said. Preliminary investigation by a committee formed under the convenorship of Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar KC to probe into the alleged crime by the policemen Shambhu Raut Ahir and Shreeram Saha confirmed their immoral deed. A rape case against the two will be filed at the Kavre District Court on the coming Sunday.
