A 40-year-old man in Jhapa was caught by his wife while raping his own daughter in Bhadrapur-5 of Jhapa on Tuesday evening. Police said the man was raping his eight-year-old daughter in a maize farm at around 7 pm yesterday while the suspect's wife saw the incident and reported to the police. He was held by a police team assisted by locals this morning. The victim told police that the father would rape her frequently under the influence of alcohol. The man is in the custody of the District Police Office. Police said they are looking into the case. Meanwhile, the girl underwent a medical test at Bhadrapur-based Mechi Zonal Hospital today.
