A 31-year-old woman has been rescued by the police from College Road in Biratnagar Sub-metropolis-14 on April 21 while she was being sexually abused in a public place. The locals had informed the Ward police office about the incident after which she was immediately rescued by the police, said Inspector Govinda Kafle. The accused is at large. The victim underwent a health checkup and treatment at Koshi Zonal Hospital on April 21. DSP Prabhu Prasad Dhakal of DPO said that the search for the accused is ongoing. Whether she was sexually abused or not can only be confirmed after the medical report comes out, said Dhakal. The victim was under the influence of narcotics when the incident happened, added Dhakal.
