According to National Earthquake Measurement Center an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 richter scale struck Sindhupalchowk on May 2 at around 3:55 am in the morning and another of 4.3 richter scale struck Dolakha at 5:55 am in the morning on May 2. With this the number of earthquakes with magnitude above 4 richter scale has reached 121 since saturday's devastating earthquake. The Center's chief Lok Bijaya Adhikari stated that the affect of the earthquake was slowly subsiding and the small shocks possess no danger.
