Ranjeet Limbu, who had been absconding after allegedly murdering his grandma, was arrested from Ilam district on Sunday. 23-yer-old Limbu of Mechinagar Municipality-10, Jhapa, was arrested from his hideout in Ilam, said Arjun Timsina, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Area Police Office, Kakadbhitta. Limbu has been charged with suffocating his 82-year-old grandma to death on Thursday. Police also arrested Limbu's wife 18-year-old Laxmi BK from the same place. It has been reported that Limbu killed his grandma for allegedly not accepting his inter-caste marriage with BK. Preliminary investigation by police has found that the couple had killed their grandma and made off with her jewellery and Rs 10,000 in cash.
