Two women who were reported missing were found dead under suspicious circumstances on the bank of the Trishuli River in Dhading district on Sunday. One of the bodies was found at Gajuri-2 while the other was recovered from Salangghat-7. After finding the bodies of the two victims stripped naked at a little distance from each other on the riverbank, local people had immediately informed the police. Police confirmed that the bodies indeed belonged to the two women who were reported missing from Mangalbazaar area in Lalitpur. Family sources said Kabita Timalsina and Ranju Timalsina, both permanent residents of Bhattedanda in Lalitpur, had gone missing since Friday afternoon. An application was filed at the District Police Office, Dhading, to help find the missing women who were in their late twenties. Police took the bodies to Dhading District Hospital for postmortem after their guardians identified them. It is suspected that the two women might have been raped and subsequently murdered. Police Inspector Hemanta Bhandari said the detailed investigation is underway to find whether it was a murder or suicide.
