More than a dozen people were injured when protesting intern doctors clashed with the police on the premises of Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar on Thursday. All the services except emergency ward remained closed after the incident. Police detained 20 protesters to contain the situation. More than 120 medical students currently doing their internship staged sit-in, demanding that the college return the security amount they had deposited. They also charged the college of “labour exploitation”.
