Koshi River Inundation and Erosion Struggle Committee on Sunday picketed the Koshi Barrage control room seeking appropriate compensation from the Indian government. Hundreds of Koshi victims had encircled the control room at Sunsari. Former State Minister for Home Affairs Ram Kumar Chaudhary CA members Manpur Chaudhary and Ashok Kumar Mandal, were also present at the protest. Police had a tough time controlling the agitators. The agitating people staged a sit-in for an hour at the control room. Struggle Committee Coordinator Mahidev Chaudhary said that they were deprived of compensation for the past sixty years.
