The district court of Banke has sentenced two men to 13 years in prison on the charges of raping a 17-year-old girl. The two along with one other person had raped the girl on Kartik 15, 2070 in Dhambojichowk of Nepalgunj. The guilty have also been fined rupees one lakh each to compensate the victim. The verdict was issued by a single bench of justice Hari Pratap KC. The sentenced perpetrators are Arun Pal Singh of Indrapur-9 and Kashi Ram Kori. The other accomplice in the rape, Suresh Singh Rathaur is on the run. Shrestedar Atma Ram Joshi of the district court informed that the guilty had been sentenced to maximum term under rape act.
