District Police Office arrested 51-year-old Rajkumar Pari of Tilahar VDC-1, Parbat on July 6 on the charges of raping a mentally ill 40-year-old woman. Police arrested him after getting a tip-off that the accused raped the woman in an under-construction building in Bangechaur of Baglung Municipality-1. The woman is unable to tell her name or address, DSP Prem Bahadur Basnet said the District Court had provided five days for his custody and investigation. The woman was sent to a temporary shelter center after a medical checkup at Dhaulagiri Zonal Hospital on July 6, Police informed.
