Police have arrested 35-year-old Bijendra Khadka of Chhitapokhari VDC-3 on July 12 on the charge of trying to rape a 30-year-old woman on June 21. The FIR filed by the woman says that the accused had called him to take fodder and when she reached his cattle shed, he touched her and tried to rape her but she managed to flee. She filed the FIR at District Police Office on June 26 and her medical check-up was conducted at District Health Office, Diktel on June 27. Police had forwarded a case of attempt to rape against the accused, SI Yadav Gautam said.
