Gaur, the district headquarters of the Rautahat, has remained tense since this morning as Madhes-based parties continued their protest program to disrupt the feedback collection program on the preliminary draft of the new constitution being held here in the district. Madhes-based parties are in protest against over holding the feedback collection program inside the closed hall of the Gaura Municipality. Police have fired six shots of the tear gas shells to take the situation under control and disperse the protesters who have gathered and staged a shit-in in front of the municipality hall. According to police, the irate protesters have vandalized various vehicles including a vehicle, Ba 13 Cha 1451, belonging to Madhav Kumar Nepal, former prime minister and Constituent Assembly member elected from Rautahat Constituency Number 1. They have also vandalized six other vehicles in the incident. NSP cadres attempt to manhandle UML leader Nepal ------------------------------------------------ Cadres of Nepal Sadbhawana Party (NSP) have attempted to manhandle CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal at a discussion program here at Gaur Municipality, Constituency number 1 of district, on Monday morning. Police, however, informed that leader Nepal is safe in the incident. Chairs were thrown at leader Nepal and chanted slogans against him as leader Nepal was attending a discussion program on the draft statue at municipality hall as per the schedued feedback collection program. Accusing the former Prime Minister and CA member from Rautahat-1 of gathering feedbacks on the draft constitution in closed hall among the limited public after mobilizing security force, NSP cadres launched protest. Cadres vented their furry over leader Nepal after police did not allow them entering into the program hall, argued NSP President Anil Jha. NSP cadres are still staging a sit-in chanting slogans against leader Nepal in front of the hall.
