Police arrested three persons on July 20 on the charges of inhumanly treating 65-year-old Janakiya Devi Chaudhary of Manaharwa tol in Rangapur VDC-2. The victim filed a complaint at the Area Police Office in Chandranigahapur on July 19 accusing 36-year-old Raj Kishor Chaudhary  his 34-year-old wife Chanchala Chaudhary and 55-year-old Ram Bilas Chaudharyof same place of mistreating her on the charges of bewitching one of the accused Raj Kishor. The victim added that the accused swore at her and cut her hair while preparing to take her around the village by smearing black on her face as she was sleeping at her house on July 17. DSP Netramani Giri said that the remand of the accused was extended and further investigation was ongoing into the incident.
