15 years old mentally challenged girl and her mother have been forced out from their village after they filed a complaint against Khadka Bahadur of Khanigau-1, Nuwakot, accusing him of rape. Recently Trisuli Plus named organization is giving protection to the victim and her mother. According to the victim's mother, they were pressurized not to file a complaint with the police but to settle the case within the village. However, the victim's family refused and as soon as she filed the complaint, a group of local women came to her and started beating her. Sarmila Upreti, member of the above-mentioned Women institution, was able to rescue her. Police have charged a case against the culprit after his arrest.
