As many as 25 people were injured in a clash between police and locals at Baluwa bazaar of Mahottari district on Tuesday night. The clash occurred when police force stopped locals from screening the video speech of CK Raut, a campaigner of autonomous Terai movement. Of the injured, Ram Sundar Yadav (60) is said to be in critical condition. Police fired teargas to take the situation under control. Police official at the Baluwa Police post Yog Kumar Subedi informed that the clash broke when police urged the locals to stop video screening programme which was in progress without taking permission from the local administration. Activities related to CK Raut are banned as he was found active in separatist movements in the Terai belt.
