Area Police Office, Katari has arrested 24-year-old Gyan Bahadur Karki alias Ganesh of Hariwan VDC-9 in Sarlahi on July 30 on the charge of raping a 24-year-old woman. Inspector Gopalman Shrestha of the APO Katari said that Karki, who is a helper at the bus (Ga1Kha 4340) heading towards Sindhuli from Pokhara, raped the woman at a lodge in Katari Municipality-9. Medical check-up of the victim was carried out at the Katari hospital following her complaint on July 30. Police said that she had boarded the bus to drop off at Bardibas after she could not catch a bus to Sindhuli.
