Police have arrested eight Dalit activists today while they were protesting in Doti demanding the guarantee of Dalit's rights in the upcoming constitution. Transportation was obstructed in Doti for an hour due to the protest of the activist. Tension ensued when police tried to disrupt the bandh organized by the protesters. Leaders of the protest programs have flayed police intervention in their program. United Dalit Struggle Committee informed that all the arrested protesters were released following their sit-in in front of the district administration office.
