Six injured as Tharuhat cadres vandalise vehicles in Nepalgunj, Banke

Cadres of Tharuhat Struggle Committee and Madhesi Alliance have vandalized a jeep and an ambulance that was heading towards Kohalpur from Nepalgunj in Pipari Chowk yesterday night at around 9:00pm.  The windshield and glasses of the vehicles were broken due to attacks with stones and six persons were injured. Of the six injured 3 persons are undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Medical college while one Dhanraj Aidi of Rimi-5, Dolpa, has been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment. He has sustained serious injury in the eye due to broken shards of the vehicle's glasses. According to DSP Basantaraj Pant of DPO Banke, 18 persons have been arrested on the charges of being involved in the attack on the vehicles. Police have released 12 arrested after the initial investigation while 6 are still being held in custody for further investigation.
