Students, fed up with frequent strikes, started a peaceful protest against bandh in Rajbiraj, Saptari, on Saturday. The students of Rajbiraj-based schools demonstrated peacefully after continuous strikes halted the teaching-learning activities in local schools. District Child Networks, City Child Networks, and Happy Land Child Club initiated the movement demanding that schools resume and the strikes be banned.

The students took out a rally from Raj Stadium, took a round of different areas of the city, and concluded their rally after reaching the local Shiva Temple. Ambar Yadav, Chairman of District Child Club Network, Saptari, said the students demonstrated by tying their hands and covering their mouths with black bands. Chairman Puskar Jha of Happy Land Child Club said the schools had been closed for a long due to the earthquake and now the strike had worsened the situation.
