(update) Several people including SSP and Inspector are feared dead in a heated clash that ensued when cadres of the Tharuhat Party broke the prohibitory order in Tikapur in Kailali district. Although deaths are feared by both sides of police and the protesters, it is yet to be confirmed. Assistant CDO of Kailali, Surya Bahadur Singh told Setopati they are yet to receive information about injuries and deaths. Police fired shots after the situation went out of control. Meanwhile, local administration imposed a curfew in the area from 2 pm. The situation remains tense in Tikapur.

Update..... According to Chief District Officer of Kailali, Rajkumar Shrestha, 11 personnel of Armed Police Force (APF), six Nepal Police personnel, and three protestors were killed in the clash.
