The cadres of agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) torched two police beats at 5 am this morning in Jaleshwor, the district headquarters of Mahottari. Dozens of agitating cadres torched the police beats at Matihani Chowk and Bakhari Chowk. It is said that both the police beats were completely destroyed in the fire. The local administration has beefed up the security situation in other areas of the district headquarters as well. A large number of protestors have been coming to the district headquarters from early morning to protest the delineation of the provinces in the federal setup.
