The situation of Duhabi Bhaluwa Municipality of Sunsari has become tense because of Tharuhat Struggle Committee's movement. Cadres of Tharuhat have been demonstrating since last week demanding 22 districts of Terai to be announced as Tharuhat state. Cadres of Tharuhat have taken out a demonstration with sticks in Duhabi Bazar on Tuesday. A large number of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force were mobilized after the protestors took out a demonstration with sticks demanding Home Minister, Bamdev Gautam's resignation. The protestors obstructed traffic and also caused damage to an ambulance carrying a pregnant lady.
