Kailali has remained tensed even after five days of violent protest in Tikapur which claimed the life of seven police personnel and a minor. Violent protests and vandalism in public and private properties are yet to subside. Reckoning the bleak security situation, District Administration Office Kailali enforced a curfew in Dhangadi, effective from 11 am to 5 pm today as well. The army is deployed in Tikapur, which is still considered the riot-hit zone, to take the security situation under control.
