Update ...... Four injured in Birgunj police firing (updated) Fresh clashes have erupted between police and protesters in different areas of Birgunj in Parsa district on Tuesday morning. Four Madhesi Morcha protesters have been seriously injured in police firing during the clash. Dipesh Patel, 17, and Sandip Patel, 20, of Bahuari-6 were seriously injured in a clash that occurred at Gandak Chowk. Dipesh received a bullet in his forehead while Sandip received it in his back. According to police, both are undergoing treatment at Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital at Birgunj. Similarly, two others have been injured after police opened fire at the promises of Narayani Sub Regional Hospital in Parsa district today. The injured are hospital assistant Binod Mahato and Police Constable Narendra Chaudhari. Mahato has sustained injuries to his back and that Chaudhary to his leg. On Monday, one protestor identified as Dilip Chaurasiya, 25, died during the demonstration. Following the death of Chaurasiya, agitated protesters have begun fresh demonstrations this morning. Following Monday's clash, the local administration enforced an indefinite curfew in the district.
