A series of bands called by the supporters of Tharuhat have worsened the problems of laborers who depend on daily wages for their everyday survival in the Kailali district. Seeing that the bands are not ending any time sooner the laborers are heading to India in hopes of earning some money for the nearing festivals. Hari Pariyar from Sukkhad in Kailali used to run his family by earning a daily wage, but the bandas continuing for a month have left him without any work and hence without any money to feed his family. On Tuesday Hari along with 5 others have left for India in search of work there. The Gaura festival in the Far-western region is now nearing and after this, there would be Dashain and Tihar festivals. Normally during these times even daily laborers who have gone to India return back home. But with no work available and survival getting more and more difficult due to the cruel bandas, a large number of daily wage workers are leaving for India in search of work.
