Police arrested a man on the charges of attempted rape on a 7-year-old minor girl in Rupandehi. The arrested has been identified as 28-year-old Bijaya Kumar Gupta of Bhaiya Tol in the Siddarthanagar municipality. According to police Gupta had taken the minor to his room in order to sexually abuse and rape her by tempting her. But the unfortunate incident was prevented when the victim's mother saw them and intervened in time. Police have decided to charge Gupta under the rape act.
