In response to the DAO Rupandehi's decision to extend restricted zone in district headquarter Bhairahawa city, cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front have imposed blockade in Bhairahawa on Monday. Morcha's cadres have enforced blockade in different places thereby causing scarcity of milk, vegetable and other items of daily use in Bhairahawa. Expressing solidarity with Morcha's decision to impose blockade farmers have decided not to supply milk, vegetables and other agricultural products to Bhairahawa. Janardan Yadav a dairy farmer from Mainaihiya said " We will not take dairy products to sell in Bhairahawa, instead we will feed them to the protesters." Vegetable farmer Mohammad Khalil Seikh said "Police shot my fellow madhesi brothers yesterday, tomorrow it might even happen to me. That is why we have decided not to supply our vegetable to Bhairahawa." District coordinator of United Democratic Madhesi Morcha Rupandehi Mahendra Yadav said that they were compelled to enforce the blockade after the government did not respond to their demands seriously.
