Prohibitory order extended for one more week

The District Administration Office has extended the prohibitory order in the district for one more week. The DAO issued prohibitory order since August 24 citing an increase in criminal activities during the indefinite strike called by various groups over the issue of delineation and draft constitution. Earlier, the prohibitory order was extended for three days and four days respectively for the second and third time since August 30. Municipality areas and VDCs south of Daune are most affected as the indefinite strike called by Civil Society, Tharuhat Struggle Committee, Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha, and other groups entered 27th day. Normal life was hit harder as vehicles stayed off the road in Bhumahi, Parasi, Tribeni road section. Locals said that the bandh has shut down the business in the area.
