The curfew imposed in Birgunj for the past few days has been lifted for four hours on Tuesday. According to Assistant Chief District Officer, Arjun Bhandari, the curfew has been lifted from 9 am to 1 pm. He informed that the curfew has been lifted to allow locals to purchase essential goods. Normal life in Birgunj has been adversely affected due to bandh and curfew called by the United Democratic Madhesi Front for the past 24 days.
