Student organizations affiliated with different political parties have obstructed traffic along the Mahendra Highway in Kanchanpur district demanding regular power supply in the district. The demonstration organized by the student organizations from 9-12 every morning since the past week has affected the traffic along the Mahendra Highway. Mahendranagar-based branch office of the Nepal Electricity Authority has also been padlocked as part of the protest. Students have demanded to declare Kanchanpur district as the load-shedding-free zone.
