Sherpa community which had called Bandh in 6 districts including Solukhumbu demanding Sherpa state have attempted to attack Twin-otter aeroplane belonging to Nepal Airlines while it was landing in Phaplu airport on Sunday. The protesters hurled bottles aimed at the landing aeroplane. However, the bottle did not hit the plane and so it was not damaged. Locals were terrorized due to rumour of petrol bomb being thrown at airport. However, Inspector Kundan Dev clarified that petrol bomb had not been used. Two arrested including coordinator ----------------------------------- Police have arrested Coordinator of Sherpa State Struggle Committee, Pemba Sherpa and sub-coordinator Dima Sherpa for disrupting peace and security.
