(updated) Two people sustained bullet injuries after security personnel opened fire in Gaur after the protesters defied the curfew order on Sunday. The demonstrators clashed with police as they came out in the streets violating the curfew imposed by local administration today. Police fired more than 25 rounds of the bullet after the situation got out of control. Lal Babu Patel of Gaur-6 and Nahirudhhin of Akolawa-7 were injured at a clash in Kabir Chok. Both the injured are receiving treatment at District Hospital. The local administration clamped an indefinite curfew at Gaur in Rautahat district from 12 pm on Sunday.

Four protesters sustained bullet injuries as police opened fire at a demonstration taken out by Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha in Rautahat. The Morcha supporters also vandalised some police posts in Dhanusha and reportedly fired at the security personnel who were escorting vehicles along the Siraha stretch of the East-West Highway.
