The local administration in the riot-hit area Tikapur, headquarters of Kailali district, lifted curfew order for seven hours to be effective on Monday. District Administration Office, Kailali rescinded the curfew order from 5 am to 12 pm on Monday in Tikapur. The Tikapur was declared riot-hit following a cold blooded carnage in which eight policemen and a child were killed on August 24. On Sunday, the DAO had lifted curfew from 5 am to 5 pm in Tikapur.
