Considering the security sensitivities, the District Administration Office (DAO), Kailali, has continued the curfew order from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm even today in Dhangadhi city area. On Sunday, the curfew was clamped from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Likewise, the DAO said that the 24-hour curfew order enforced in Tikapur and Bhajani-Trishakti municipalities was lifted from 5:00 this morning to 12:00 this afternoon.
However, the administration’s decision to impose curfew and issue riot-hit area in other places in the district is unchanged.
The DAO has also urged the major political parties not to organise rallies this afternoon, keeping the security sensitivity in mind. The major political parties active in the district are scheduled to take out rallies in Lamki, Sukhad, Attariya and other areas to celebrate the new constitution in the country.
The agitating Tharuhat/Tharuwan Struggle Committee is organising the protest assemblies and agitations everyday by expressing dissatisfaction for not incorporating the community’s concerns in the new constitution. RSS
