The menstruating women have been barred from touching the tap located near the Satyadevi Mai in Jubitha VDC-9. Notices issued by Satyadevi Protection Committee Management Committee on September 26 are pasted at Maidhara and other public places. The notices without a sign of any individual say that the god would be angry if the menstruating women come near the tap. Local women rights activist Shanta Shahi said that such notices at a time when the campaign to end chhaupadi practices is being conducted by government and non-governmental agencies.
