A local youth, who posed himself as Indian armyman, has been arrested on charge of raping two girls here in Panchathar district. The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Suresh Limbu of Dhuseni-3. According to police, Limbu had befriended one of the victims, who hails from Phaktep, and proposed her for marriage through Facebook and mobile phone. When the girl went to meet him at Dhurbise Panchami Bazar, on September 23, Limbu allegedly raped her and robbed her of cellphone and gold ornaments. Likewise, Limbu allegedly raped another girl and robbed her of her belongins at Ranke Bazar in similar fashion on September 26. With the help of Ilam police, the suspect was arrested and presented before the District Court, according to Inspector Govinda Jha the District Police Office, Panchthar.
